Game of the Year 2024(Personal Edition)
In 2024, I dove headfirst into the Steam multiverse—exploring horror, fantasy, and emotionally heavy narratives like never before. With a controller in one hand and a keyboard in the other, I wandered through vampire-infested cities, post-apocalyptic ruins, twisted RPG tales, and chaotic co-op adventures. Along the way, I unlocked 246 achievements across 44 games—and loved every minute of it.

📊 Achievements Unlocked 246 (40 rare!)
🧠 Controller Sessions 13% of total play
It’s no surprise to me that I kept gravitating toward story-driven, thematically intense games—especially ones with gothic horror vibes, emotional weight, and strategic decision-making.
With 26% of my total playtime and 202 sessions logged, Baldur’s Gate 3 was absolutely the highlight of my year. I fully embraced the chaotic beauty of the Warlock/Sorcerer (SOCK) multiclass, playing primarily as Tieflings and Drow. And yes—I romanced Astarion every time. I mean, how could I not?
My favorite party setup: Astarion, Shadowheart, and depending on the battle—either Lae'zel or Gale.
“Succumbing to the Dark Urge was a choice—and a cathartic one.”
🚪 My Longest Streak: 69 Days
From June 12 to August 20, I played every single day. That 69-day streak included 17 different games such as:
Phasmophobia
A Plague Tale: Innocence
Resident Evil Resistance
Vampyr
The Turing Test
Divinity: Original Sin II
I was all in—mixing emotional storytelling with co-op chaos and philosophical puzzles.
🎮 Controller Favorites
While I mostly played on keyboard and mouse, I still clocked 13% of my sessions with a controller. My go-to controller games in 2024 were:
Silent Hill 2 Remake – 29%
Resident Evil 4 Remake – 25%
The Thaumaturge – 19%
The Casting of Frank Stone – 8%
Thymesia – 4%
Clearly, I have a thing for horror, atmosphere, and immersive storytelling.

Final Thoughts: A Year of Games with Soul
2024 wasn’t just about ticking boxes or racking up hours. It was about getting lost in stories, choosing chaos, and embracing every weird, terrifying, or heartfelt moment. From dark romances in Faerûn to nerve-wracking stealth in Silent Hill—I played with purpose, heart, and a whole lot of snacks.
Here's to even bigger adventures in 2025.
